MustAIM Terms of Service
Effective date: 3 August 2026
1. Who we are
MustAIM ("MustAIM", "we", "us") is operated as a sole trader. You can contact us at hello@mustaim.com about these terms, or dpo@mustaim.com for anything relating to your data.
MustAIM operates mustaim.com (the "Platform") — a booking service that connects players looking for airsoft and paintball games with venues that run them.
2. What MustAIM is (and isn't)
MustAIM is a booking intermediary. We are not an airsoft or paintball venue, we do not run, staff, or supervise any game, and we are not a party to the game itself — that relationship is between you and the venue.
We do three things:
- We let venues list games and take bookings with a deposit (or full payment) so a game either hits its minimum player count and runs, or doesn't fill and everyone gets refunded automatically.
- We process payments via Stripe, our payment processor. Money owed to a venue is paid directly into that venue's own Stripe account — it never sits in a MustAIM account or balance.
- We run a verification process for venues before they can take bookings on the Platform (see How we verify and clause 8 below) — this confirms certain facts about a venue, it does not make us responsible for how that venue is run.
3. Definitions
- "Player" — anyone who creates a MustAIM account to book a game.
- "Venue" — an airsoft or paintball site listed on the Platform.
- "Venue Owner" — the person or business that claims and manages a Venue's listing, subject to the separate Venue Owner Agreement.
- "Game" — a specific date/time session at a Venue, listed with a price, a minimum player count, and (optionally) a maximum.
- "Booking" — a Player's reservation of one or more spots on a Game.
- "Deposit" — the non-refundable-if-no-show amount a Player pays to secure a spot when paying deposit-only (balance due at the venue).
- "Guaranteed" — a Game that has hit its minimum player count (or been manually guaranteed by the Venue Owner) and will run regardless of further cancellations, subject to clause 6.
4. Eligibility and your account
- You must be old enough to meet both (a) any applicable law in your country, and (b) the specific Venue's own age policy for the Game you're booking — Venues vary (some run junior sessions with different rules). MustAIM does not verify a Player's suitability for a specific activity; that is between you and the Venue.
- You need a MustAIM account to book. We support sign-in by email magic link or Google — there's no password to manage on our side.
- You're responsible for keeping your account details accurate, including the full name and date of birth we ask for before your first booking (Venues use this to check you in).
- One account per person. Don't share your login or book on someone else's behalf without their knowledge.
5. Bookings and payments
- Each Game shows a price per spot. You can usually choose to pay a deposit only (balance due in person at the Venue) or pay in full online — whichever the Venue has enabled.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. When you pay, your money goes as a destination charge directly to the Venue's own connected Stripe account; MustAIM's share (our commission) is taken as an application fee at the same time. MustAIM's own account never holds your deposit or payment.
- You'll get a booking reference by email — keep it, the Venue will ask for it at the gate.
- If a capped Game is full, you can join its waitlist. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee you a spot; if one frees up you'll be emailed a time-limited link to book it, offered first to whoever joined earliest.
6. Guarantees, cancellations, and refunds
- A Game runs once it's Guaranteed — either it hit its minimum player count, or the Venue Owner manually guaranteed it (to account for players they've booked directly, off-Platform).
- If a Game doesn't reach its minimum by the time it's due to start, it's automatically cancelled and every Player is refunded in full — you don't need to do anything.
- If you cancel your own booking more than 48 hours before the Game starts, you get a full refund.
- If you cancel inside 48 hours, or don't show up, your deposit (or, if you paid in full, the deposit-equivalent portion) is not refunded — this is what funds the guarantee for everyone else who showed up. Any balance you'd separately have paid at the gate is obviously not charged if you don't attend.
- If a Venue cancels a Game (including after it was Guaranteed), you get a full refund of whatever you paid online.
- If a Game oversells because two checkouts complete for the last spot at nearly the same time, whichever booking didn't actually get a seat is refunded in full and you'll get an email explaining why.
Refunds go back to the card or payment method you used, usually within a few business days per your bank's processing time.
7. Player conduct
When you attend a Game, you agree to follow the Venue's own site rules, safety briefing, and any instructions from Venue staff — those are set by the Venue, not by MustAIM, and vary by site and activity. Don't:
- misuse the Platform (fake bookings, abusive behaviour toward Venues or other Players, attempting to circumvent the deposit/guarantee mechanic);
- book on behalf of someone who hasn't agreed to these terms;
- do anything unlawful in connection with a Booking or a Game.
We can suspend or close an account for a clear breach of this clause.
8. Venue verification and the "Insured" badge
Some Venues on the Platform have completed our verification process and display an Insured badge. What that badge means — and importantly, what it doesn't — is explained in full at /how-we-verify, which forms part of these terms.
In short: the badge confirms we've seen evidence that the Venue holds a current public liability insurance policy. We do not check, and do not make any statement about, the amount, scope, or adequacy of that cover. That is the Venue's own responsibility. If the level or scope of a Venue's insurance matters to you, ask the Venue directly.
Not having the badge doesn't mean a Venue is unsafe — it may simply not have completed verification yet.
9. Marketing communications
We'll always send you transactional emails about your own bookings (confirmations, reminders, refunds) — you can't opt out of those while you have an active booking, they're how we tell you what's happening with your own money.
Anything beyond that — game recommendations, venue offers — is opt-in and controlled from your account settings at any time.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Subject to that: MustAIM is a booking platform, not the operator of any Venue. We are not liable for the acts, omissions, safety standards, or insurance adequacy of any Venue, or for anything that happens to you at a Game — that responsibility sits with the Venue you're attending.
Our liability to you for anything arising from your use of the Platform is capped at the total fees you've paid to MustAIM in the 12 months before the claim, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
11. Suspension and termination
We can suspend or close your account for breach of these terms, fraud, or abuse of the Platform. You can close your own account at any time from your account settings; any future bookings will need to be separately cancelled first.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be flagged the next time you sign in; continuing to use the Platform after that point means you accept the update.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, for every Player and Venue regardless of location. If you're based outside the UK, this doesn't take away any protection you're entitled to under the mandatory consumer-protection law of the country you live in.
